Livi lets you see a GP by video – any day of the week.
Get a GP appointment the same day, or book up to 3 days ahead at a time that works for you. Appointments include prescriptions, specialist referrals and sick notes if you need – all without going to the doctor’s surgery.

Just like a GP you’d usually see, Livi GPs are happy to offer medical advice for most conditions – although some may require a physical examination.
As well as help for managing long-term conditions, some of the common medical concerns Livi doctors treat include skin conditions and rashes, allergies, digestive problems, women’s health concerns and more.

Book a GP appointment for a time that suits you. The clinician will video call you to start your appointment.

This was the first time I have used the LIVI App. I found the whole experience fantastic! I received updates before my appointment to remind me and also to let me know that the Doctor was running a little late as she was still with the previous patient.
The video was clear throughout the appointment. The Doctor herself was incredibly thorough with her questions and gave me some great information and advice. She also gave me recommendations for a couple of really helpful websites that I will be taking a look at.
The whole experience was really great and I shall definitely be using the App again when needed. It saves so much time and saves me having to take time off of work to travel to the Doctors and then wait for my appointment which is normally late and then travelling back to work.

Chasing prescription
First time using Livi and although it seemed easier to use at first glance, it has caused more problems than it is worth. I did get to speak to a doctor but only after trying several times due to the app refusing to acknowledge I had given permission to access my medical records. Waited for appointment and it got auto cancelled! I tried again and was eventually connected. After speaking with the doctor i was told a prescription had been sent to my local chemist. After i got a message saying it was ready to pick up i walked down to the chemist to be told they had not received a prescription and had no messages from Livi. I went to my other local chemist thinking maybe it had gone there instead, but they didn’t have it. I went to my local doctors to see if they could find out where it had been sent and they could not tell me. I called Livi support and after several disconnects i managed to talk to a support agent who told me it was sent to the correct chemist, but they would sent it again. By this time it was too late to go to the chemist again so the next day i called the chemist to confirm they had it before I walked down again. They told me they had no prescription again. So now I have no medication and have spent 2 days trying to get answers to no avail. I will go back to my local doctor who I can trust.
Has the potential to be a great service
My experience of using the app for the first time was a great one; easy to book, and then exactly an hours wait for a call with a GP on a Sunday. They were very helpful, I didn’t feel rushed at all, and they prescribed me some antibiotics.
The problem came with finding a Pharmacy who had heard of Livi to be able to dispense the prescription. I tried Tesco Pharmacy, and 3 independent Pharmacies who all said they couldn’t do it. By phoning around, I found a main City Centre Boots could do it - a 25min drive for me, but worthwhile if they could provide me with the antibiotics that day.
Once there, there was an issue with their Livi account, which they were all quite new to, so it took 55mins from arriving to receive my prescription. The Pharmacy thankfully were really helpful and didn’t give up, but phoned the Livi helpline to try and resolve the issue. I’m not sure I’ll use Livi again soon, and continue using my GP Surgery, but this was helpful as it was a Sunday and I had no other options. If Livi are able to roll out their prescription process to Pharmacies in a better way, this has the potential to be a great process to alleviate the pressure on Surgeries!
